Position Overview

Diamond Electrical Group is hiring experienced Industrial Electricians to join our Electrical Division. You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial electrical systems in manufacturing plants, chemical facilities, food processing operations, and heavy industrial environments across Dallas–Fort Worth.

This role is for electricians who want to work exclusively in industrial settings — not residential or commercial. You’ll handle power distribution, motor controls, PLCs, instrumentation, conduit systems, and more alongside a stable team of skilled professionals on meaningful, long-term projects.

Responsibilities

  • Install, terminate, and test industrial power distribution systems
  • Run and bend rigid conduit (EMT, IMC, rigid steel, PVC-coated) per NEC standards in industrial environments
  • Install and wire motor control centers (MCCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), and switchgear
  • Perform PLC and HMI installation, wiring, and point-to-point verification
  • Install and terminate instrumentation wiring
  • Read and interpret electrical one-line diagrams, schematics, ladder logic, and P&ID drawings
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems including motor circuits, control circuits, and power distribution
  • Perform megger testing and circuit verification on new installations
  • Pull wire and cable through conduit systems, cable trays, and wireways
  • Follow all NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and Diamond Electrical Group safety protocols
  • Coordinate with mechanical crews, controls technicians, and project supervision

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum 3 years of industrial electrical experience (not residential or commercial)
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, and industrial electrical codes
  • Experience with 480V 3-phase power systems and motor controls
  • Proficiency in conduit bending (rigid, IMC, EMT) and installation
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and blueprints
  • Experience with multimeters, meggers, and electrical testing equipment
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in industrial conditions

Preferred

  • Texas Journeyman or Master Electrician License
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or ABB PLCs and controls (nice to have)
  • Instrumentation wiring and calibration experience
  • Arc flash safety training and NFPA 70E certification (nice to have)
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (nice to have)
  • Experience in chemical plants, food processing, or pharmaceutical facilities preferred
  • VFD programming and commissioning experience preferred
